On Friday, March 28th, Tienda Gran Calafate celebrated the fifth edition of the Exemplary Women of Patagonia (MEP) Award, recognizing women whose effort, talent, and commitment have left a mark on the region. We are proud to share that Andrea Zavala, co-founder of Tepaluma® Gin, was honored in the Entrepreneurship category, acknowledging her trajectory, vision, and determination in bringing a Patagonian born product to the world stage.

From the wildest corners of the Carretera Austral, Andrea has passionately led the creation of Tepaluma®, a gin that captures the pure essence of Patagonian nature. Her entrepreneurial journey has been marked by challenges, learning experiences, and remarkable achievements. In 2022, Tepaluma® Gin was awarded a Gold Medal at the prestigious International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC), earning 95 points and solidifying its place among the world's best spirits.

The Exemplary Women of Patagonia Award, driven by Tienda Gran Calafate, seeks to highlight and honor the positive impact of women who, through their work and dedication, build a more equitable and sustainable future. This edition also recognized outstanding figures in categories such as Literature, Art and Culture, Sustainability, and Sports, showcasing the wealth of talent that thrives in this untamed land.
